I was recently asked if I read much as a kid, and if I would have liked Fablehaven if I had found it back when I was a kid.
I have enjoyed reading ever since I can remember. I love the way the words of a good book create images and experiences in my mind. My imagination craves those experiences. As a kid, I would often lead groups of kids in imaginative play. We would insert ourselves into our favorite stories or movies. We would create worlds to explore or imagine ourselves with cool powers and have epic imagined battles. I even liked to simply go away by myself and pretend those things all alone.
When I found the Chronicles of Narnia I felt like I had found heaven. I am sure that I would have loved Fablehaven as a kid, probably even more than I like it now.
